Assistant Manager – Institutional Tenders & Market Access

ROLE OVERVIEW
GSK's institutional business in India reaches patients through government health programmes, public hospitals, defence and railway medical services and state medical corporations — channels awarded almost entirely through competitive tenders. This Assistant Manager – Enterprise Access & Support role sits at the centre of that commercial engine in Worli, Mumbai, converting tender intelligence into winning bids and converting awards into dependable supply. The position matters because every GeM or CPPP submission carries GSK's regulatory standing, pricing integrity and reputational equity, while directly shaping access to vaccines and medicines for large patient populations. For ambitious pharma commercial professionals, it offers unusual breadth: exposure to pricing strategy, contract governance, supply-chain execution and cross-functional leadership, with a visible line of sight between a well-prepared bid and real patient impact.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Track and screen tender opportunities daily across GeM, CPPP, state e-procurement portals and institutional customers, flagging commercially viable bids to leadership.
- •Prepare, price and submit technical and commercial bids within strict deadlines, ensuring document accuracy and zero disqualification errors.
- •Coordinate with Sales, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal to assemble dossiers, approvals, price approvals and compliance certificates.
- •Manage EMDs, Bank Guarantees, rate contracts, purchase orders and tender fee reconciliations with a complete audit trail.
- •Monitor awarded contracts, track supply execution and escalate delivery risks to protect service levels and avoid penalties.
- •Maintain tender MIS, dashboards and performance reports covering win rate, submission turnaround and order fulfilment.
- •Conduct competitor and price-trend analysis to sharpen institutional pricing and bid strategy.
- •Ensure all tender activity complies with company policy, UCPMP and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.
