ROLE OVERVIEW

This Operational Pricing Lead (WEMEA) role at Amgen is a strategic market access and health economics position based in Hyderabad, supporting West Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The role sits within Amgen's Global Operational Pricing team, a critical function that balances patient access, reimbursement, and commercial sustainability for innovative medicines and a robust biosimilars portfolio. As biosimilar competition and loss-of-exclusivity pressures reshape oncology and inflammation markets, precise pricing strategy becomes central to Amgen's ability to fund innovation and reach more patients. The OPL ensures pricing governance, reference pricing analysis, launch sequencing, and financial planning assumptions are accurate, compliant, and commercially sound. This is a compelling opportunity for finance, consulting, or pharma pricing professionals to influence high-stakes access decisions across diverse markets, work with global affiliates, and build expertise in HTA, reimbursement, and pharmaceutical pricing operations.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Deliver International Reference Pricing, price erosion, launch sequence, and net pricing analyses with clear strategic recommendations for WEMEA affiliates.
  • •Lead price floor setting, evaluate pricing business cases, and review contracts requiring operational pricing governance or exception approval.
  • •Maintain pricing tools, systems, price lists, and documentation so all decisions remain audit-ready and compliant with internal policies.
  • •Provide well-challenged pricing and access assumptions for annual financial planning, forecasting cycles, and long-range commercial plans.
  • •Support affiliates with price certificate submissions, government price list structures, and resolution of reference price calculation errors.
  • •Train local teams on contract setup, implementation workflows, and pricing infrastructure to improve speed and accuracy.
  • •Partner with global and cross-functional teams on reimbursement submissions, new launches, indication expansions, and LOE readiness.
  • •Identify continuous improvement opportunities, contribute to Global Operational Pricing initiatives, and share best practices across regions.

  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and spoken communication for global affiliate engagement.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex pricing issues and present clear, defensible recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in governance documentation and financial assumptions.
