Territory Business Manager – Multitherapy (Pharma Sales)
ROLE OVERVIEW
Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) is one of the company's most consistent growth engines in India, and the Territory Business Manager role in Gangapur, Rajasthan sits at the frontline of that commercial engine. This is a classic pharma field-sales mandate: you own a defined geography, carry a numeric sales target, and drive prescription generation for a multi-therapy portfolio spanning general medicine, women's health, gastro, and chronic care brands. Because Abbott's EPD operates across 100+ countries with a strong Indian manufacturing and distribution backbone, the role offers unusual exposure for a territory manager — access to global brand playbooks, structured sales-force effectiveness tools, and a well-recognised Multitherapy portfolio. For candidates who want to build a long-term pharma commercial career, it is an excellent entry point with clear, merit-linked progression into area and regional leadership.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual territory sales targets across the assigned Multitherapy portfolio, tracking primary and secondary sales against division benchmarks.
- •Execute structured field work daily — 8 to 10 doctor calls, chemist and stockist coverage — without direct day-to-day supervision.
- •Generate maximum prescriptions and grow market share by promoting Abbott's brands strictly as per the division's approved strategy and messaging.
- •Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders: prescribing consultants, general practitioners, retail chemists, wholesalers and stockists.
- •Log daily field activity on Abbott's online SFA/CRM system, maintaining call average, coverage and frequency norms for the assigned division.
- •Monitor competitor activity, price movements and new launches, feeding actionable intelligence into divisional strategy building.
- •Drive brand visibility through CMEs, doctor meets, chemist schemes and patient-awareness initiatives within approved budgets.
- •Coordinate with distribution and logistics teams to ensure product availability, prevent stock-outs and manage near-expiry returns.
