ROLE OVERVIEW
Drive operational excellence and seamless patient care delivery as Manager - Inpatient Services, overseeing ward management, bed allocation, and patient experience across inpatient units in Chennai.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Oversee daily operations of inpatient wards, rooms, and patient care floors
- •Streamline admission, bed allocation, transfer, and discharge workflows
- •Manage and mentor ward support staff, floor executives, and patient care coordinators
- •Resolve patient and family grievances to maximize patient satisfaction metrics
- •Monitor and enforce NABH quality guidelines and hospital safety protocols
- •Optimize operational costs, resource utilization, and room turnaround time
- •Collaborate with doctors, nursing leads, and diagnostic departments for seamless patient care
- •Implement service quality standards and continuous operational improvement initiatives
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to General Manager - Operations / Medical Director • Team size: 15-30 administrative and support staff

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, or related field
- 8-15 years of experience in hospital operations and inpatient care management
- Strong knowledge of NABH compliance, patient care workflows, and bed management systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Degree in Nursing or Medicine prior to Master's degree
- •Experience managing large multi-specialty hospital inpatient divisions
- •Hands-on experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
