ROLE OVERVIEW

Bio Medical Engineer responsible for maintaining, repairing, and managing medical equipment at Fortis Hospital, New Delhi.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Manage installation, routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment across hospital departments.
  • •Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with regulatory standards (NABH, JCI) and safety protocols.
  • •Conduct regular safety inspections and electrical safety tests on patient-monitoring and life-support devices.
  • •Coordinate with external vendors and service engineers for major equipment servicing and spare parts management.
  • •Provide technical training and guidance to clinical staff on the proper operation and care of medical devices.
  • •Maintain accurate documentation of equipment history logs, service records, and maintenance schedules.
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Head of Biomedical Engineering / Facility Management • Team size: 3-6

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of hospital medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
