ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Define and execute Pfizer's multi-year cloud and infrastructure transformation strategy, directly aligning global technology investments with corporate, scientific, and drug discovery priorities.
Lead enterprise-wide infrastructure modernization programs across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML platforms, network transformation, infrastructure automation, and data center evolution.
Serve as senior technical authority and architect for cloud operations, platform engineering, enterprise resiliency, cybersecurity, and infrastructure modernization.
Drive enterprise adoption of cloud-native architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, continuous observability, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Partner with enterprise architects and engineering leaders to evaluate, guide, and validate critical technology design decisions and engineering standards.
Lead and cultivate high-performing technical organizations comprising Directors, Senior Managers, Architects, and senior engineering talent.
Technical & Domain Standards
Enforce cloud-native architectural patterns, modern Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform/OpenTofu), and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure infrastructure platforms comply with stringent cybersecurity guidelines, regulatory mandates, and enterprise risk management protocols.
Support high-performance computing (HPC) environments, AI/ML platform architectures, and large-scale data science infrastructures.
Leadership & Impact
Influence executive leaders and matrixed cross-functional stakeholders across Digital, Security, Research, and business divisions to drive unified transformation goals.
Establish long-term technology roadmaps, operating models, and governance frameworks that balance execution speed, operational resiliency, and innovation.
Benefits & Total Rewards
Annual base salary range of $214,900 to $358,100, plus Global Performance Plan target bonus of 22.5% and share-based long-term incentives.
