ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage Quality Control (QC) laboratory teams, managing workforce planning, performance appraisals, goal setting, and succession readiness.
Oversee all analytical testing activities including in-process, finished product, stability, process validation, exhibit batch, market complaints, and retention sample testing in alignment with site KPIs.
Review and approve QC documentation, laboratory investigations, raw data, protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in strict compliance with cGMP and ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
Manage equipment qualification and lifecycle compliance (IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration, preventive maintenance, and computerized system compliance for all analytical instruments.
Oversee site stability management, approving stability protocols, retention sample schedules, annual stability report submissions, and chamber qualifications.
Support timely investigation and closure of quality events, incidents, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls across cross-functional impact areas.
Represent Quality Control during internal, external, customer, and regulatory body inspections and audits.
Technical & Domain Standards
Drive continuous improvement using LEAN, Six Sigma, standard work, visual management, and root cause analysis methodologies.
Provide technical troubleshooting expertise for analytical methods and QC instrumentation; oversee analytical method transfers from R&D to QC routine testing environments.
Ensure strict compliance with cGMP regulations, Pfizer Quality Standards, environmental testing protocols, and laboratory EHS safety rules.
Leadership & Business Impact
Partner with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain to drive site operational effectiveness and business objectives.
Leverage generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) responsibly for advanced problem solving, operational efficiency, and analytical data analysis.
