ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary IT lead for the Mumbai facility, overseeing daily operations to maintain secure, stable, and high-performing workplace technology services.
Lead local IT support teams and third-party vendors to deliver concierge-level end-user support for employees, leadership, and VIP visitors.
Manage incidents, service requests, and service level agreements (SLAs) using digital monitoring metrics to drive continuous service improvement.
Oversee audio-visual (AV), video conferencing (VC), and collaboration technologies across meeting rooms; ensure zero-defect technical execution for townhalls, board meetings, and high-profile corporate events.
Drive site IT compliance, asset management, and governance in alignment with corporate policies; maintain audit-ready asset records and mitigate site operational risks.
Oversee third-party vendor performance and serve as the local point of contact for site technology requirements, project deployments, and stakeholder communications.
Develop operational playbooks and business continuity plans to ensure site technology resilience under high-pressure scenarios.
Technical & Domain Standards
Maintain expertise in End User Computing (EUC), workplace technology, meeting room collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco), and modern AV systems.
Demonstrate proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM) systems like ServiceNow, asset lifecycle management, and endpoint identity/networking fundamentals.
Leadership & Business Impact
Direct local internal and vendor support teams, fostering a user-centered and responsive service culture.
Partner with regional and global AstraZeneca IT teams to execute local site deployments and technological improvement projects.
