ROLE OVERVIEW
Medical Science Liaison role focused on scientific exchange, medical education and engagement with healthcare professionals, thought leaders, medical societies and advisory boards within an assigned therapeutic area.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Engage proactively and reactively with Thought Leaders and doctors to exchange scientific, educational and research information
- •Disseminate and clarify scientific data, study protocols, meeting abstracts and professional literature within applicable regulations
- •Respond to medical and scientific queries from medical societies and support advisory boards
- •Attend congresses and conventions, build healthcare-professional relationships and gather competitive intelligence
- •Plan and organize scientific training and education sessions within the assigned therapeutic area or product
- •Support Thought Leader identification, profiling, segmentation and engagement strategy
- •Prepare timely reports and track activities against agreed objectives
- •Provide external scientific support, training and education as required
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports within Bayer's Medical Affairs organization and collaborates with Thought Leaders, doctors, medical societies, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualification in natural sciences or medical background such as MD, MBBS, BAMS, BDS or MDS
- Basic knowledge of the concerned therapy area and related molecules
- Basic understanding of clinical trials, study design and rationale
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to build productive internal and external relationships
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience in Medical Affairs or MSL activities
- •Established relationships with healthcare professionals or Thought Leaders
- •Experience supporting advisory boards, medical education programs or scientific congresses
- •Deeper knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area and relevant molecules
