ROLE OVERVIEW

Lead the end-to-end communications agenda for Merck's Life Science business in India, shaping brand presence, employee engagement and external communications while translating regional and global strategy into locally relevant narratives.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the communications agenda for Life Science in India
  • Develop and execute integrated external, internal and social-media communications programs
  • Translate complex scientific and business topics into clear content for diverse audiences
  • Advise internal stakeholders and senior leaders on communications
  • Lead digital and social-media best practices, governance and reputation management
  • Collaborate with regional peers and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communications
  • Build brand presence and employee engagement with measurable communications outcomes
  • Apply AI literacy and responsible AI considerations to communications workflows

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations or brand management
  • Proven experience developing multi-channel communications strategies across external PR, internal communications and social media
  • Strong content-creation skills across written, digital and video formats
  • Strong social-media strategy and digital brand-management expertise
  • Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-management abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
