ROLE OVERVIEW

Clinical Programmer I / II responsible for developing and validating clinical data programs, dashboards, automation tools, operational reports, and data-quality solutions using SAS, Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Spotfire, and related technologies.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Design, develop, implement, and validate clinical data programs using SAS, Python, R, and SQL
  • •build and maintain Power BI, Spotfire, and MicroStrategy dashboards
  • •automate data-cleaning checks, reconciliation, and edit checks
  • •develop operational reports covering missing pages, queries, PI signatures, and audit trails
  • •identify EDC and TPV data discrepancies and create visualizations for proactive issue resolution
  • •maintain documentation, peer reviews, report specifications, and programming assets
  • •provide progress and risk updates to lead programmers
  • •collaborate with clinical, data management, biometrics, and operations teams on clinical programming initiatives
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to or works under the guidance of lead programmers and collaborates with clinical, data management, biometrics, development operations, and other cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Life Science, Statistics, or equivalent
  • programming skills in SAS, Python, R, and SQL
  • experience with Power BI or Spotfire and dashboard technologies
  • basic knowledge of clinical development processes
  • basic knowledge of data capture, data models, and data mining
  • strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • •Knowledge of clinical programming industry standards
  • •FDA regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines
  • •experience with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave, Inform, Veeva, Saama, or Entimice
  • •experience with SAS LSAF
  • •knowledge of MicroStrategy
