Therapy Business Manager – Gastroenterology (GI Optima)
ROLE OVERVIEW
Therapy Business Manager – GI Optima is Abbott's frontline commercial leadership role within its Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD), responsible for driving prescription growth for the gastroenterology portfolio across the Varanasi territory. Abbott EPD's GI franchise — spanning digestive health, acid-peptic disorders and gut-health-oriented therapies — competes in one of India's fastest-growing chronic-prescription segments, making this position a direct lever on the division's market-share ambitions across Uttar Pradesh. The role blends science-led detailing with territory economics: the incumbent owns call averages, coverage and frequency norms while building durable relationships with gastroenterologists, consulting physicians, chemists and stockists. For ambitious pharmaceutical sales professionals, this is an excellent entry into a global MNC with structured training, ethical-promotion governance and a transparent pathway into area and regional business leadership.
