ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Support the modernization, intelligence-driven readiness, and continuous improvement of Amgen's Global Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs.
Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), author Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and execute end-to-end dependency mapping across critical IT systems, third-party suppliers, and operational resources.
Leverage Agentic AI and automation frameworks to replicate BIAs/BCPs, streamline workflow mapping, and automate the identification of Key Computerized Systems (KCSs).
Establish fallback, override, escalation, and recovery mechanisms for AI-enabled workflows to safeguard operational resilience.
Coordinate cross-functional BC/DR simulation exercises, track Achieved Recovery Time (ART) and Achieved Recovery Point (ARP), and document post-exercise lessons learned and action items.
Partner with technology recovery specialists to triage and support IT Disaster Recovery initiatives during disruptions.
Develop, monitor, and report on operational resilience metrics, templates, governance standards, and training materials for global stakeholders.
Technical & Domain Standards
Strong understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), and enterprise operational resilience frameworks.
Working knowledge of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), RTO/RPO metrics, and risk assessment methodologies.
Practical exposure to Agentic AI, AI orchestration, process automation tools, and workflow modeling.
Proficiency with enterprise continuity planning software, data analysis, and technical documentation.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with global virtual teams across IT, business operations, cyber resilience, and risk management.
Present analytical findings and operational risk assessments clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
Drive an automation-first mindset to eliminate manual continuity tracking and enhance organizational agility.
