ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary Product Owner and Agile Delivery Lead for the India-based AIN team supporting the global SAGE program.
Own, refine, and prioritize the team backlog, authoring detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing technical and delivery dependencies.
Facilitate core Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and Program Increment (PI) planning.
Translate strategic business and technical roadmaps into clear, executable sprint goals aligned with enterprise outcomes.
Proactively identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks, manage technical risks, and coordinate cross-team dependencies across global teams and multiple time zones.
Track and leverage Agile delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput, cycle time, predictability) to drive flow, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Lead release planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, production readiness, and stakeholder communications across engineering, data science, QA, and business leadership.
Technical & Domain Standards
Deep expertise in Agile frameworks, specifically Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, and flow-based Kanban delivery models.
Strong proficiency with enterprise agile management tools including Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, and Miro.
Practical understanding of enterprise digital products, data platforms, analytics, AI-enabled systems (such as Agentic AI and Databricks), and modern software development lifecycles (SDLC).
Familiarity with GxP regulated environments and digital transformation best practices in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the vital bridge between scientific/business stakeholders and technical engineering pods, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Coach team members in Agile accountability, continuous delivery practices, and collaborative ways of working.
Influence without authority across a matrixed, globally distributed organization spanning multiple continents.
