ROLE OVERVIEW
Amgen is recruiting a Senior Manager for Commercial Forecasting & Analytics in Hyderabad to lead forecasting work for global and U.S. commercial teams. The position combines individual forecasting work with team oversight and cross-regional collaboration.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Own forecast development for assigned pipeline or inline assets and lead discussions on assumptions, drivers and scenarios with global or U.S. teams.
- •Prepare forecast synthesis for executive review, including framing of risks and opportunities.
- •Partner with forecasting leads, commercial heads and finance teams, and translate market and competitive events into business implications.
- •Align forecast assumptions across regions and contribute to long-range planning and business reviews.
- •Help establish Amgen India's forecasting operations, mentor junior team members and contract resources, and support best practices and continuous improvement.
- •Introduce and scale AI and automation tools, such as earnings call summarisation, auto-reporting and scenario simulation.
- •Evaluate new forecasting methods, data visualisation techniques and simulation models, including Monte Carlo.
- •Coordinate with teams in the U.S., Portugal and India and work with Commercial, Finance, Medical, Value & Access, Analytics, Insights and Competitive Intelligence.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience in forecasting, commercial analytics or data science, or a master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Deep understanding of pharmaceutical forecasting in global or U.S. markets, including pipeline and inline portfolios.
- •Hands-on experience building and reviewing Excel-based models and simulation techniques.
- •Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- •Familiarity with AI tools, predictive analytics and agentic platforms.
- •Strong communicator able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
