Territory Business Manager – Restora (Probiotics & Gut Health)
By Admin · Pharma Sales, Marketing & Commercial
ROLE OVERVIEW
Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) is a cornerstone of the company's emerging-market strategy, delivering trusted, affordable branded generics across cardiology, diabetes, pain management and women's health. The Territory Business Manager for Restora — Abbott's flagship gut-health and probiotic brand — owns the Dhule and surrounding North Maharashtra territory, translating brand strategy into prescriptions, pharmacy pull-through and sustainable market share growth. This is a frontline commercial role with genuine ownership: you design your own call plan, negotiate shelf presence with chemists and stockists, and build prescribing conviction among physicians. Because the territory runs with minimal day-to-day supervision, performance is transparent and meritocratic, and strong performers are fast-tracked into Area Business Manager and brand marketing roles. For a BSc or B.Pharm graduate seeking a high-visibility entry point into a multinational's commercial engine, it is an exceptional launchpad.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the Restora portfolio across the assigned Dhule territory through disciplined territory planning and execution.
- •Execute daily field work covering general practitioners, paediatricians, gastroenterologists, gynaecologists and consulting physicians as per the division's call-average, coverage and frequency norms.
- •Generate prescriptions and drive secondary and tertiary sales by converting high-value prescribers to Restora's gut-health positioning.
- •Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, chemists, stockists and distributors to ensure availability, correct stocking and efficient prescription order booking.
- •Log every field activity, doctor call and chemist visit on Abbott's assigned online SFA/CRM system on a daily basis.
- •Implement marketing initiatives, patient-education programmes and CME-linked activities within the territory as directed by the Divisional Manager.
- •Track competitor activity, pricing movements and new launches, feeding structured market intelligence back to the regional commercial team.
- •Represent Abbott as a credible brand ambassador while complying with the company's ethical promotion and pharmacovigilance reporting standards.
