ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Full-Stack Engineering & Ownership: Independently own, design, implement, and maintain defined production components and vertical slices for enterprise AI applications and intelligent automation products.
Frontend Development: Build accessible, responsive UI components with clear state management, secure sessions, streaming UI, error handling, review/approval workflows using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
Backend & API Systems: Develop robust APIs, microservices, background jobs, queries, schema migrations, and event queues using Python, Node.js, Java, or C# with relational/NoSQL databases, enforcing validation, authorization, and retries.
AI & LLM Integration: Integrate predictive models, LLMs, embeddings, vector/hybrid search, RAG pipelines, structured outputs, agent tools, and workflow automation with input/output validation and human-in-the-loop controls.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement layered unit, integration, contract, API, UI, performance, security, and AI-evaluation test suites; diagnose and resolve complex cross-layer production issues.
Cloud & Operations (DevOps): Leverage cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, backward-compatible deployments, monitoring, telemetry, and incident response practices.
Security & Governance: Apply OWASP standards, OAuth/OIDC, least privilege access, prompt-injection defense, Responsible AI principles, privacy regulations, accessibility, and GxP validation controls.
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner closely with product managers, UX designers, business domain specialists, architects, and platform teams to translate complex requirements into scalable production assets.
Mentor and guide Associate Software Engineers on engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices.
