ROLE OVERVIEW
Drive digital capabilities and Research Informatics workflows for Large Molecule Discovery at Amgen as a Sr Associate Scientific Business Analyst.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Function as a Scientific Business Systems Analyst within a SAFe Agile product team
- •Serve as a liaison between global Research Informatics teams and scientists
- •Translate complex scientific needs into epics and user stories
- •Support Benchling-related delivery across ELN, LIMS, Registry
- •Document workflows across cloning, expression, and protein sequence
- •Define and validate data requirements for connected platforms
- •Coordinate UAT planning and execution
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Product Owner - Research Informatics • Team size: 6-10
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 9 years of experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computational Biology, or a related field
- Experience translating scientific and technology needs into epics, user stories, and process maps
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum or SAFe delivery
- Strong understanding of scientific data capture and metadata
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience implementing or configuring Benchling or comparable ELN/LIMS platforms
- •Knowledge of protein sequence, cloning, expression, purification, and molecular biology workflows
- •Experience with API integrations, data migration, or Kafka pipelines
- •Professional certifications such as SAFe for Teams, CSM, or CBAP
