ROLE OVERVIEW
Join Microsoft's Commercial Engineering & AI team to build AI-powered capabilities, autonomous agents, and RAG solutions using Azure and modern engineering frameworks.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Brainstorm and identify solutions for complex business problems using AI tools as a thought partner
- •Design, build, and integrate AI-powered capabilities including copilots, agents, and RAG features
- •Apply prompt engineering, grounding, and retrieval-augmented generation to deliver reliable outcomes
- •Use AI-assisted engineering workflows (GitHub Copilot, coding agents) to accelerate production delivery
- •Champion Responsible AI practices using systematic evaluations (evals) to measure safety and quality
- •Analyze events and telemetry from App Insights and Kusto for rapid root-cause analysis
- •Partner with peer engineering teams to leverage and extend core platform capabilities
- •Continuously curate organizational knowledge for AI agents and copilots to improve grounded results

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of relevant software engineering work experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET framework, ASP.NET, SQL, PowerShell)
- Hands-on development experience with Azure resources and services
- Exposure to Agile methodology, Git, VSO, App Insights, and Kusto
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and coding agents
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Exposure to AI Native Engineering (LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG)
- •Hands-on experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks
- •Familiarity with Azure AI platform (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry)
- •Knowledge of Responsible AI principles and AI evaluation practices
