ROLE OVERVIEW

Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions as a Sr Associate Software Engineer at Amgen.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment
  • •Design and implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React.js, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • •Build and optimize scalable server-side logic and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, or Python
  • •Design, develop, and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases
  • •Create RESTful or GraphQL APIs for communication across systems
  • •Develop innovative solutions leveraging generative AI technologies
  • •Deploy, manage, and scale applications on cloud platforms applying DevOps best practices
  • •Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and encryption
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Engineering Manager / Tech Lead • Team size: 6-10

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 5 to 9 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services and well-architected cloud design principles
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, SQL/NoSQL
  • Experienced with API integration, serverless, and microservices architecture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • •Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • •Hands-on experience building RESTful/GraphQL APIs
  • •Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • •AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred
