ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Conduct non-promotional, peer-to-peer exchange of medical and scientific information with Scientific Leaders (SLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs), within applicable laws, local regulations, industry codes and Organon's Guiding Principles for Ex-US GMA External Stakeholder-Facing Activities.
Develop deep local insights into diseases, therapeutic areas, healthcare needs, scientific data gaps and challenges within the assigned geography.
Represent Medical Affairs at local and regional non-promotional medical events, including medical congresses and symposia.
Support coordination of pre-event scientific information and post-event scientific summaries for relevant medical events.
Respond to unsolicited requests from SLs/KDMs concerning medical, scientific, pipeline, marketed-product or indication information using appropriate approved scientific materials.
Respond to unsolicited requests concerning company research and grant activities and direct stakeholders to appropriate company resources for grants, sponsored clinical-trial participation and outcomes research.
Organize and participate in scientific and medical exchange activities such as hospital lectures, journal clubs, expert input forums and advisory boards, including serving as a presenter when appropriate.
Share publicly available areas of interest reactively with external stakeholders and direct them to appropriate resources for additional information.
Provide medical/scientific support for Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) and formulary decisions through written documentation and verbal scientific interactions, following applicable scientific-exchange principles.
Formulate local Medical Affairs Plans and implement associated activities.
Support identification of potential study investigators for sponsored studies when requested by clinical-trial organization personnel.
Capture and communicate scientific gaps, ideas and insights generated through scientific exchange to inform areas of interest, development programs and company strategy.
Provide on-label or disease-state scientific training to commercial colleagues when requested and permitted.
Provide scientific support to patient access programs.
Collaborate with Medical Advisors and MSLs within the therapeutic area and across therapeutic areas.

Consistently apply up-to-date scientific knowledge at a peer-to-peer level across the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM).
Demonstrate strategic and consistent capability in peer-to-peer scientific exchange across the SEM.
Provide thorough and appropriate feedback from external scientific engagements to internal stakeholders through organizational systems.
Demonstrate capability in research support across the SEM while leveraging internal systems and executing activities according to organizational requirements.
Qualification
MBBS graduate.
