ROLE OVERVIEW

Roche Diagnostics India is hiring a Senior Manager for Medical & Scientific Affairs in Mumbai to lead scientific engagement across its Cardiology and Neurology diagnostics portfolio. This is a strategically pivotal role: as healthcare systems shift toward earlier detection of cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease, evidence generation and expert-led scientific dialogue become decisive differentiators. The position owns the medical strategy for assigned diagnostic solutions across their full lifecycle — from clinical opportunity mapping to post-launch evidence — while anchoring every activity in code-compliant, patient-centric practice. ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Define and execute the annual medical strategy and evidence-generation roadmap for cardiology and neurology diagnostic solutions in India.
  • •Identify clinical evidence gaps and design real-world data, registry, or investigator-initiated study initiatives to close them.
  • •Build and steward long-term partnerships with cardiologists, neurologists, laboratory medicine experts and academic KOLs.
  • •Lead advisory boards, Roche-initiated medical education programmes and scientific symposia at national and international congresses.
  • •Deliver balanced, code-compliant scientific presentations to HCPs, both reactively to medical enquiries and proactively on emerging data.
  • •Partner with commercial, APAC and global medical teams to align launch readiness, lifecycle planning and scientific messaging.
  • •Ensure every medical activity complies with company SOPs, local Codes of Practice and applicable regulatory guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBBS is mandatory; MD in Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmacology or an equivalent clinical specialty is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in medical affairs within the diagnostics, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • At least 5–7 years of focused therapeutic experience in cardiology and/or neurology.
  • Documented track record of HCP education, KOL engagement and structured scientific exchange activities.
  • Working knowledge of Indian regulatory requirements and Codes of Practice governing medical promotion.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed, multi-geography environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; additional Indian language proficiency is an asset.
