ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Support and monitor daily global operational planning activities, KPIs, and deliverables within the Global Business Services (GBS) Global Operational Planning (GOP) unit.
Create, optimize, and maintain production and purchase plans to ensure a balanced, resilient global pharmaceutical supply chain.
Evaluate and process Sales Orders and Process Orders against manufacturing capacity, lead times, and resource feasibility.
Maintain, govern, and audit planning-relevant Master Data across enterprise systems, resolving data anomalies and discrepancies.
Coordinate closely with onshore Supply Chain Integration (SCI) teams, local Flow Managers, and Country Supply Chain Responsible leads across international affiliates.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on production plan deviations, stock variances, and delivery delays, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
Generate operational planning performance reports, transactional data audits, and ad hoc analytical models to drive continuous process improvements.
Technical & Domain Standards
Comprehensive mastery of end-to-end supply chain planning frameworks across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return lifecycles.
Practical hands-on expertise with enterprise ERP platforms, specifically SAP ECC / R3 (PP, MM, or SD modules).
Strong technical capability in supply chain master data governance, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
Advanced data analytics, reporting, and modeling proficiency using Microsoft Excel (functions, pivots, modeling) and PowerPoint.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Facilitate routine alignment meetings with onshore global planning teams and headquarters in Denmark.
Drive operational excellence and lean process transitions between global manufacturing hubs and GBS Bangalore.
Communicate stock level impacts, supply risk alerts, and delivery schedules proactively to global commercial and supply stakeholders.
