ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager - EM Demand & Distribution Planner leads demand forecasting, inventory planning, distribution coordination, S&OP participation, and supply-chain performance improvement for assigned pharmaceutical portfolios. The role combines strategic forecasting with monthly operational planning and cross-functional collaboration.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Provide long-term forecasts for annual budgets and long-range planning
- •Conduct market analysis using IMS data and customer contracts
- •Revise finished-goods inventory norms and obtain business-head approval
- •Coordinate with sales, marketing, distribution, and global supply-planning teams
- •Create statistical base forecasts and facilitate bottom-up and consensus forecasts
- •Maintain master-data integrity covering inventory norms, lead times, forecasts, orders, expiry risks, and supply indicators
- •Review production and dispatch plans and recommend SKU prioritization or transportation-mode changes
- •Represent the portfolio in pre-S&OP and S&OP forums and escalate major demand changes with supporting analysis
- •Monitor inventory, slow/non-moving stock, customer service, forecast accuracy, and other supply-chain metrics
- •Support new-product launches and coordinate demand-side activities with the IMPULSE team

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree such as MBA or MS in Operations Management
- or BE in Mechanical/Production Engineering
- or B.Pharm/M.Pharm
- 5-8 years of total experience
- 3-4 years of experience in demand planning and inventory management
- Mid-management experience in at least one of Demand Planning or Supply Planning
- Exposure to at least two relevant supply-chain areas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience in pharmaceutical supply-chain planning
- •Experience with IMS data and market intelligence
