ROLE OVERVIEW

Responsible for accurate medication dispensing, inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, and adherence to hospital formulary protocols at Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Dispense medications accurately for inpatient wards, ICUs, and outpatient counters
  • •Review and verify physician medication orders for proper dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications
  • •Maintain adequate stock levels and monitor inventory using FEFO/FIFO guidelines
  • •Manage drug returns, expiry tracking, and narcotic/controlled substance documentation
  • •Operate Hospital Information Systems (HIS) for billing and inventory reconciliation
  • •Ensure compliance with NABH accreditation standards and statutory pharmacy regulations
  • •Counsel patients on medication administration, dosage schedules, and precautions
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Chief Pharmacist / Head of Pharmacy Operations • Team size: 10-15

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
  • Valid Registered Pharmacist license with Delhi Pharmacy Council
  • Basic understanding of hospital formulary, inventory management, and HIS systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • •0-2 years of clinical or hospital pharmacy dispensing experience
  • •Familiarity with NABH standards and patient safety protocols
  • •Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud or modern ERP/HIS tools
