ROLE OVERVIEW
Pfizer is hiring a Sr. Team Leader - MQA at its Vizag site to lead quality assurance activities covering batch review, investigations, change control and documentation. The role calls for a quality professional with sterile injectable experience and a track record of leading teams under GMP.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Review and evaluate clinical and commercial drug batches against specifications and flag deviations in manufacturing and packaging.
- •Approve investigations and change control activities in line with configuration management policies.
- •Lead people, technology and financial resources and share knowledge across the unit.
- •Identify possible improvements to processes or products.
- •Manage performance of direct and indirect reports and provide input to senior management decisions.
- •Initiate and manage investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain and revise Document Control SOPs.
- •Oversee and audit training systems for area personnel, assign audit records to auditors, and give QA review and final approval on Investigation CAPAs.
- •Ensure timely completion of investigations to support production, coordinate quality functions through Pfizer Quality Systems, and supervise Aseptic Service Workers and documentation personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- M.Pharma / B.Pharma / MSc
- 10-12 years of experience
- Sterile injectable experience
- Advanced analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Quality operations technical knowledge and strong people management experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough understanding of GMPs, applicable SOPs, production processes and statistical/inspection practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Proficiency in data analysis computer tools and statistical analysis
- •Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System Empower and Microsoft Office programs
- •Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- •Excellent organizational and time management skills
- •Strong collaboration and team-building skills
- •Experience using common AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to support problem solving and productivity
- •Curiosity for exploring how AI tools improve outcomes, with understanding of responsible AI practices including risk management and ethical use
