ROLE OVERVIEW
Medical Affairs leadership role supporting DePuy Synthes country strategy, evidence generation, stakeholder engagement, innovation and medical/scientific activities.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Support country business leaders with clinical and non-clinical stakeholder insights
- •build relationships with strategic accounts, hospitals, regulatory agencies and medical societies
- •develop Key Opinion Leader partnerships
- •monitor competitive activity
- •establish strategic partnerships
- •ensure evidence supports regulatory approval, health technology assessment, reimbursement, access, adoption and post-marketing needs
- •contribute to global innovation and evidence-generation strategies
- •support evidence plans and case support
- •drive evidence dissemination and scientific meetings
- •review and approve medical, scientific, promotional and market access materials
- •provide medical and scientific support for surgical initiatives
- •influence internal and external executive stakeholders
- •oversee people management and training activities
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to the DS Medical Affairs Lead International, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Country DePuy Synthes Managing Director

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of experience in post-graduate medical education, fellowship/subspecialty surgical training, clinical practice, research or Medical/Clinical/R&D industry experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or medical device business
- expertise in a surgical field or medical device industry
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- people management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •MBA and/or PhD
- •experience as a practicing surgeon or related medical device role
- •Orthopaedics/Trauma/General Surgery background
- •Medical Affairs experience across specialties or therapeutic areas
- •experience overseeing medical education and training programs
- •clinical evidence generation, interpretation and publication experience
