ROLE OVERVIEW
Support record-to-report accounting operations within BMS's Hyderabad Controllership Center of Excellence, ensuring accurate close activities, reconciliations, reporting, risk management and collaboration with global finance stakeholders.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Perform R2R period-end close activities including account reconciliation quality control, accounts receivable, accruals and operational reporting
- •Monitor and manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities according to close timetables
- •Prepare scheduled balance sheet control reconciliations
- •Coordinate with local markets and third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate close execution
- •Monitor internal customer satisfaction and take corrective action where appropriate
- •Complete period audits, management-level reporting and disaster-recovery activities
- •Execute ad-hoc projects initiated by R2R leadership
- •Identify material risks and opportunities and support response or contingency plans
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to Controllership R2R Ops Senior Manager; Key stakeholders include R2R Ops Senior Manager, R2R Ops Lead, Controllership CoE Lead, global and regional controllers, corporate and in-market Finance teams and other global Finance centers; Direct reports: None

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification required
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and transactional accounting
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and relationship-management capabilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Accounting experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- •Familiarity with SAP and SAP-related applications
- •Experience with CRM and accounting-related software
- •Experience collaborating with global and regional finance teams
- •Demonstrated continuous improvement or process optimization experience
