Therapy Business Manager – Women's Health
By Admin · Pharma Sales, Marketing & Commercial
ROLE OVERVIEW
Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) is one of the group's most profitable and geographically diverse businesses, and the Women's Health franchise sits at the heart of its India growth strategy. As Therapy Business Manager for the Jaipur territory, you become the commercial face of a portfolio spanning prenatal nutrition, iron and folic acid supplementation, hormonal health and fertility-support therapies. The role matters because EPD growth is driven almost entirely by prescriber confidence at the point of care — gynaecologists, obstetricians, physicians and institutional buyers must trust both the science and the representative standing in front of them. For an ambitious pharma sales professional, this position offers structured MNC training, measurable territory ownership, rapid visibility with regional leadership, and a proven runway into second-line sales management within three to five years.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual value and volume sales targets for the assigned Jaipur territory across the Women's Health portfolio.
- •Execute structured daily field work — approximately 8 to 10 doctor calls per day — independently, without day-to-day supervision.
- •Meet or exceed division norms for call average, coverage, frequency, and chemist plus stockist reach.
- •Generate incremental prescriptions by detailing products to gynaecologists, obstetricians and general practitioners in line with approved promotional strategy.
- •Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders: prescribers, retail chemists, wholesalers, stockists and hospital pharmacy committees.
- •Conduct continuing medical education (CME) activities, clinic meetings and round-table discussions with key opinion leaders.
- •Track competitor activity, pricing movements and trade schemes, feeding actionable territory intelligence back to the Regional Sales Manager.
- •Manage stock availability, expiry control and secondary sales hygiene through appointed distributors.
- •Log every visit, call outcome and expense on Abbott's CRM or SFE platform on a same-day reporting basis.
