Sr. Associate II, General Engineering (MES Project Modeler)

Support the global rollout of Siemens Opcenter Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across Alcon's manufacturing facilities.

Translate operational requirements, standard operating procedures, and process maps into fully configured functional workflows within Siemens Opcenter Execution.

Configure key MES objects, including operations, electronic work instructions, process steps, business rules, custom forms, data collection plans, and electronic batch records (eBR).

Maintain and govern MES master data, ensuring robust synchronization with enterprise ERP (SAP), shop-floor automation, and historian systems.

Design, build, and maintain workflow logic, error handling, and deviation/exception management procedures to streamline shop-floor execution.

Author and execute validation protocols, functional test scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts for MES system changes.

Support formal change control procedures, GxP system documentation, and global deployment release management.

Work standard assigned shift hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST to collaborate with global sites.

Deep hands-on configuration expertise in Siemens Opcenter MES (formerly SIMATIC IT / Camstar).

Solid understanding of medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, shop-floor traceability, and cGMP compliance.

Working knowledge of IT/OT integrations connecting MES with enterprise ERP systems (SAP) and industrial automation layers.

Proficiency in authoring validation test scripts, functional requirement specifications (FRS), and user requirement specifications (URS).

Partner closely with site manufacturing engineers, process owners, quality assurance, and IT/OT teams to align system models with production realities.

Lead engineering workstreams during solution design reviews and business requirements workshops.

Drive operational standardization and continuous process improvement across global manufacturing sites.
