ROLE OVERVIEW
Scientific Comms. Lead role within Medical Communications and Global Medical Affairs, focused on translating complex clinical data into credible medical communication and leading scientific engagement with global experts and healthcare professionals.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Develop accurate, engaging and credible scientific and medical communication materials
- •Create high-impact materials across medical affairs focus areas for internal and external audiences
- •Proactively engage global key opinion leaders and build lasting scientific relationships
- •Partner with Medical Affairs teams to drive global medical education and communication plans
- •Present clinical data at meetings and symposia to strengthen KOL and HCP understanding
- •Coordinate effectively with medical affairs teams, project managers and medical illustrators
- •Provide back-end and on-site support for Global Medical Affairs activities
- •Support clear communication of scientific and medical knowledge across the organization and external scientific community
Reporting Hierarchy: Part of Medical Communications within Global Medical Affairs, Product & Portfolio Strategy at Novo Nordisk Global Business Services; collaborates with Global Medical Affairs teams in Denmark, scientific advisors, project managers, graphic designers and global KOLs

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D. or PharmD with substantial research expertise in life sciences
- 3–5 years of experience in Medical Affairs or medical/scientific writing
- At least 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated research experience such as peer-reviewed publications
- Strong MS PowerPoint skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience with global Medical Affairs communications
- •Established engagement with key opinion leaders
- •Experience presenting scientific data at meetings or symposia
- •Experience working with medical illustrators, project managers and cross-functional global teams
