Role & Organizational Overview

The Associate Consultant in Financial Institutions Consulting (FIC) at IQVIA (based in Bangalore or Gurugram) provides specialized advice to private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund investors in biopharma and life sciences. The role focuses on delivering commercial due diligence, asset/target screening, company valuations, portfolio growth strategies, and exit/divestment planning within a collaborative investment advisory team.

Core Responsibilities

Transaction & Strategy Execution: Deliver primary and secondary research assessments for buy-side and sell-side due diligence, valuation models, target screening, and biopharma commercial strategy projects.
Evidence-Driven Analytics: Perform quantitative and qualitative market research to evaluate business performance, forecast asset potential, and solve strategic investment questions.
Deliverable Development & Client Engagement: Synthesize analytical insights into high-quality client deliverables, working under the guidance of Consultants and Managers to present key findings to project leaders and financial investor clients.
Practice & IP Building: Assist in developing team capabilities, intellectual property assets, marketing collateral, proposal pitches, recruitment drives, and internal training materials.

Technical & Domain Standards

Mastery of biopharma commercial drivers, pharmaceutical product life cycles, transaction frameworks, and life sciences market dynamics.
Proficiency in secondary market research databases, primary healthcare research, quantitative modeling, and due diligence frameworks.

Leadership & Business Impact

Directs core analytical workstreams that inform high-stakes private equity and venture capital investments across the global biopharma and healthcare ecosystem.
