ROLE OVERVIEW
Abbott is hiring a Senior Auditor- Global Finance Audit in Mumbai for its Corporate Audit function. The role involves financial audits across Abbott's global businesses, with responsibilities spanning audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, internal controls, compliance and business process improvement.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Perform financial audits of Abbott's global businesses during an 18-24 month Corporate Audit rotation
- •assess financial statement accuracy and internal controls
- •evaluate compliance with corporate policies and local requirements
- •identify business process improvements
- •complete audits from planning through fieldwork, reporting and wrap-up
- •document audit work
- •coordinate with external audit-firm translation resources
- •provide on-site coaching and guidance
- •collaborate with auditors and management across Corporate Audit offices
- •support orientation and development of new auditors
- •achieve assigned individual and departmental goals
- •use experience and relationships developed during the rotation to identify future career interests and opportunities in Abbott finance
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-6 busy seasons in external audit practice of a public accounting firm
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Big 4 public accounting experience
- •CPA designation or equivalent
- •CIA designation or equivalent
- •advanced degree
- •healthcare industry experience
