ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead the end-to-end establishment of Lonza's Hyderabad Global Capability Centre, translating strategic GCC design into a fully operational delivery environment and ensuring readiness for Day-1 service delivery.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Lead end-to-end physical establishment of the Hyderabad GCC
- •Drive operational readiness of systems, tools, processes, infrastructure, and workspaces
- •Coordinate dependencies across GCC Design, Recruitment & Onboarding, Transition, and Technology teams
- •Manage local vendors and service providers against quality, timeline, and commercial expectations
- •Identify and mitigate infrastructure, timeline, regulatory, and localized execution risks
- •Support transition and go-live activities while maintaining operational stability
- •Champion stabilization and continuous improvement after initial launch
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to the relevant GCC/Orbit transformation leadership; Cross-functional role partnering with GCC Design, Recruitment & Onboarding, Transition, Technology, and external vendor teams

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 12+ years of experience in GCC/SSC setup and operations
- Proven experience establishing or scaling large-scale delivery centers
- Strong knowledge of Hyderabad/local regulatory, legal, compliance, and infrastructure landscape
- Demonstrated large-scale transformation program leadership
- Strong execution, coordination, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working with global program leaders and local external vendors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- •Experience in complex life-sciences or pharmaceutical environments
- •Experience with global capability centre transformations
- •Strong vendor governance and facilities/infrastructure management exposure
