ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop custom bioinformatics software solutions from ideation through release according to ticket specifications.
Process, analyze, and manipulate next-generation sequencing (NGS) data formats (FASTQ, BAM, VCF, GTF).
Build relational database queries and schemas using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server in Linux environments.
Perform code reviews, enforce software engineering best practices, and mentor junior engineering colleagues.
Collaborate with clients, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify bioinformatics requirements and resolve workflow blockers.
