ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Provide quality oversight for Amgen's alliance partnerships, external suppliers, and contract manufacturing organizations (CDMOs).
Act as the designated QA Contact for partners, ensuring strict adherence to established Quality Agreements and driving operational improvement initiatives.
Perform thorough partner and client assessments for Change Control and Deviation records.
Execute quality tasks supporting Partnership Alliance Quality, including document revisions, redactions, and partner audit facilitation.
Support Due Diligence assessments and portfolio strategy execution activities across external supply lifecycles.
Prepare, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP/GDP documentation, and regulatory compliance records.
Track, evaluate, and maintain business metrics, quality scorecards, and performance assessments to monitor external supplier health.
Technical & Domain Standards
Maintain rigorous adherence to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) regulations across the end-to-end supply chain.
Apply quality risk management principles to external supply operations and raw material oversight.
Familiarity with compendial testing requirements and standards for raw materials and starting supplies.
Support tactical execution and readiness for internal audits, external supplier audits, and regulatory authority inspections.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as an integral QA member across cross-functional External Supply, Process Development, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams.
Drive operational excellence and continuous quality improvement projects across multi-geographic supplier networks.
Work autonomously under minimal supervision while maintaining high compliance and quality standards aligned with Amgen leadership values.
