Role & Organizational Overview

The Senior Associate, Senior Data Manager in Clinical Data Sciences at Pfizer (based in Chennai) plays a pivotal role in strengthening clinical data oversight through ownership, control, and visibility. As part of Pfizer Worldwide Medical and Safety, this role ensures accurate, timely, and consistent data reaches clinical teams and key stakeholders, directly supporting evidence-based medical decision-making and patient safety.

Core Responsibilities

Trial Data Management & Oversight: Serve as Data Manager for one or more clinical trials, assuming full operational accountability for Data Monitoring and Management (DMM) activities and deliverables.
Data Management Plans & Validation: Develop data cleaning reports, set up, and test data review listings to verify data quality and completeness as specified in Data Management Plans (DMP).
Standards & Operational Excellence: Collaboratively apply clinical data standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data attributes populated across therapeutic groups and clinical sites.
Cross-Functional & SME Engagement: Build effective relationships with local and global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), leveraging system and process expertise to proactively identify data risks and drive solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Lessons Learned: Document and share study lessons learned across teams to foster cross-study learning and operational efficiency.

Technical & Domain Standards

Strict adherence to International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
Deep familiarity with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, web-based clinical data management systems, and electronic document management platforms.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, clinical trial execution frameworks, and clinical data governance standards.

Leadership & Business Impact

Manages key DMM project milestones, ensuring high-quality, compliant data reaches global medical and regulatory teams to accelerate drug development pipelines.
