ROLE OVERVIEW

Novartis is hiring a Direct Materials Life Cycle Manager in Hyderabad to lead supplier introduction and direct materials projects for the Small Molecules platform. The job focuses on excipients and chemicals, project delivery, and compliance with quality, regulatory and GMP requirements.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • •Plan and deliver direct materials projects across global and local functions, setting objectives, milestones and longer-term plans.
  • •Agree project plans and goals with key stakeholders.
  • •Monitor progress and communicate changes to strategy, priorities or timelines.
  • •Lead project communication and stakeholder engagement to support alignment and informed decisions.
  • •Identify and assess risks, manage and escalate them through established routes, and apply corrective actions.
  • •Maintain accurate dashboards, documentation, status updates and KPI tracking.
  • •Coordinate cross-functional project teams and support continuous improvement of life cycle management processes.
  • •Ensure compliance with internal policies, legislation, professional standards, GMP and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in Science, Business Administration or another relevant field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a role of similar scope and complexity.
  • Extensive project management experience, including coordinating cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain life cycle management and product life cycle management processes.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, change management and relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder, conflict management, negotiation and decision-making skills in complex, international environments.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • •Experience with Chemicals, API and DP operations, supply chain or project management
