ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role & Organizational Overview

The Manager, PV Analytics Center of Excellence at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) in Hyderabad is a key operational and strategic position within the Worldwide Patient Safety (WWPS) function. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role combines life sciences domain strategy, analytics/visualization expertise, and artificial intelligence (AI) innovation to deliver data-driven insights, metric frameworks, and intelligent reporting systems across global drug safety operations.

Core Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Advanced Reporting: Maintain, design, and continuously enhance reporting databases and analytical dashboards across Power BI, Cognos, Spotfire, and SAP Business Objects to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency, case quality, and key performance indicators.
AI Integration & Innovation: Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools, intelligent automation, and Generative AI platforms in alignment with BMS enterprise AI strategy, streamlining data retrieval and process automation within Patient Safety.
Data Governance & Integrity: Ensure end-to-end data integrity, lineage, and traceability from source to target across internal data systems. Validate analytical outputs and support AI/ML validation documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams (Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, Data Quality) to perform qualitative/quantitative data trends analysis. Resolve stakeholder feedback, address process bottlenecks, and deliver executive management presentations.
Metrics & Process Optimization: Establish performance metrics for Patient Safety initiatives, evaluate the organizational impact of new PV tools, and support scenario planning and critical path analyses.

Technical & Domain Standards

5–7 years of specialized Drug Safety / Pharmacovigilance domain experience combined with advanced reporting development.
Deep expertise in medical coding dictionaries (MedDRA, WHO Drug) and database management (Oracle, Postgres, Databricks, Impala, SQL).
Strong command of computer systems validation (CSV) and AI/ML model validation standards within regulated pharma ecosystems.

Leadership & Business Impact

Drives business transformation across Worldwide Patient Safety by replacing manual data extraction with automated analytics and enterprise AI models, facilitating faster safety signal detection and executive decision-making.
