ROLE OVERVIEW

Lead market access strategy across India's public and private healthcare ecosystems, unlocking reimbursement opportunities, building access partnerships and supporting innovative therapies and adult vaccination uptake.

ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead stakeholder mapping of reimbursement accounts including CARE, state health systems, ESIC and CGHS
  • Develop strategies to overcome reimbursement access barriers involving program implementation, screening, diagnostics and accessibility
  • Identify opportunities across public health programs, disease verticals and government procurement channels
  • Build access partnerships with private hospitals, multispecialty chains, HCP networks, diagnostic groups, employers, insurers, TPAs and preventive health platforms
  • Design innovative access models including affordability programs, pathway creation, capability building and patient support solutions
  • Develop adult vaccination pathways through vaccination centers, occupational health programs and corporate health partners
  • Support cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, burden-of-disease assessments and value-based evidence
  • Track policy and reimbursement changes and engage government, payer, hospital, clinical and vaccination stakeholders while collaborating with Medical, Government Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, Supply Chain and pricing teams
Reporting Hierarchy: Works cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Finance, New Product, KAM, Government Affairs, Pricing, leadership, Global Access, Strategic Pricing and other GAV stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Science graduate with MBA
  • 5-12 years of experience in Market Access or pharmaceutical-focused management consulting, pharma consulting or public health
  • Knowledge of BIM, COE, cost-benefit models or strong financial modelling and business case formulation
  • Understanding of central and state reimbursement accounts, systems and processes
  • Ability to lead in a matrix organization across country teams
  • Ability to understand, synthesize and communicate clinical benefits from a public health perspective

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with innovative therapies and specialty products
  • Adult vaccination market access experience
  • Experience engaging government authorities, public payers and private healthcare institutions
  • Strong stakeholder mapping and account engagement planning
  • Experience with health economics and value-based evidence
