ROLE OVERVIEW
Director-level clinical operations leader responsible for clinical trial delivery in India, providing operational leadership, building local capabilities and ensuring high-quality, compliant execution across the trial lifecycle.
ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- •Lead clinical trial services in India from feasibility through site close
- •Manage and develop India-based staff and Functional Service Provider teams
- •Partner with global functional leaders to align India operations with worldwide standards
- •Build relationships with local sites, investigators and regulatory authorities
- •Develop clinical trial infrastructure in India with site management
- •Oversee FSP resource planning, contracts and vendor performance
- •Drive process improvements and standardized methodologies while maintaining compliance
- •Connect regional and global teams through clear cross-cultural communication
Reporting Hierarchy: Reports to senior Global Clinical Trial Services / Global Development leadership; Senior leadership role collaborating with global functional leaders, site management, vendors, FSP teams and regulatory stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep understanding of the Indian clinical research landscape and regulatory environment
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and ICH guidelines
- Knowledge of Indian clinical research regulations
- Proven leadership in a matrix organization with dotted-line reporting
- Strong resource planning, vendor management and operational budgeting experience
- Familiarity with site management, site start-up, trial optimization and central monitoring
