ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Overview

AstraZeneca is seeking a Clinical Data Scientist (Career Level C) to join its team at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore. In this hybrid role (minimum 3 days/week in office), you will build, configure, and maintain Centralised Monitoring (CM) capabilities that power risk-based quality oversight (RBQM) across global clinical studies in cardiovascular, renal, respiratory, and immunology disease areas.

Core Responsibilities

CM System Readiness & Study Onboarding: Configure and maintain Centralised Monitoring technical environments, workspaces, and repositories to ensure secure access, stable data integrations, and compliant study start-up.

Functionality Development: Develop, program, test, and maintain standard and lightweight bespoke CM functionalities and analytical features to improve early risk/signal detection and timely study interventions.

Standard Feature Mapping & Validation: Deliver end-to-end mapping, testing, validation, and documentation for standard CM modules, accelerating clinical trial deployment.

Analysis Enablement & Administration: Maintain data pipelines and analysis-ready environments; handle access control, change management, and issue tracking with complete audit traceability.

Documentation & Audit Readiness: Author and update CM technical and validation documentation in compliance with regulatory and clinical audit standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior Data Scientists, clinicians, data managers, and biostatisticians to scale standardized CM practices and troubleshoot configuration issues.
