ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Serve as a Lead Programmer within Clinical Data Programming.
Plan and coordinate clinical database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support activities.
Provide advanced technical expertise to internal teams and external clients.
Program, test, and document databases in accordance with established programming standards and validation procedures.
Develop database manipulations and data transfers for internal and external clients.
Mentor team members and Lead Programmers, supporting technical and database capability development.
Independently propose and deliver project solutions to Clinical Data Programming and CDP teams.
Collaborate with IT on evaluation, development, and implementation of new technologies.
Develop, revise, and maintain core operating procedures and working instructions with CDP management.
Meet assigned project milestones and coordinate timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables with project teams.
Establish effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, project teams, and external clients.
Participate in discussions with corporate and Clinical Data Management teams to negotiate timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Contribute to process innovation and continuous improvement.
Technical & Domain Expertise
Advanced knowledge of Oracle, SAS, Python, and R for Clinical Data Programming.
Strong clinical domain knowledge and understanding of the clinical drug development process.
Database programming, testing, documentation, data manipulation, and data-transfer expertise.
Familiarity with leading technologies is an added advantage.
For laboratory data programming, advanced knowledge of VGL, BizTalk, C#, and/or .NET is advantageous/relevant to the function.
Strong organizational, communication, technical database, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Science, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
