ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Serve as Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Responsible Scientist for research studies, taking full responsibility for technical conduct, analytical direction, data review, documentation, and reporting of results per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
Analyze biological and chemical samples, and develop and validate analytical methodologies for diverse compounds across various sample matrices with minimal supervision.
Oversee laboratory records and study documentation, ensuring strict compliance with GLP and Quality Control standards.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot general and specialized laboratory equipment, performing both routine and non-routine maintenance.
Act as lead scientist on designated projects, supervising technical staff, managing project resources, and training junior team members.
Communicate project deviations or data integrity concerns to line management and recommend corrective actions.
Host and participate in client meetings and visits, presenting technical data and providing expert scientific guidance.
Draft, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test methods, study protocols, and final research reports.
Technical & Domain Standards
Maintain expert command over analytical chemistry, immunochemistry, and biological sample testing methodologies.
Implement GLP/SOP compliance across method development, method validation, and quality control data reviews.
Apply analytical troubleshooting techniques to resolve equipment or assay performance issues.
Leadership & Impact
Lead small project teams of technical staff, ensuring resource optimization and adherence to strict project delivery timelines.
Drive laboratory continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational quality and testing efficiency.
