ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Analyze complex longitudinal patient datasets, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and healthcare claims data to generate actionable commercial and real-world insights.
Lead end-to-end standard analytical projects and ad-hoc client requests in close collaboration with global Real World Analytics (RWA) teams.
Interface directly with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders, translating technical data findings and business recommendations effectively.
Drive project start-up activities, global program development, progress-tracking dashboards, and comprehensive technical documentation.
Mentor and support junior analytics team members during onboarding and ramp-up phases from data, code, and analytical perspectives.
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency using Lean methodologies to improve turnaround time and expand Center of Excellence (CoE) capabilities.
Technical & Language Standards
Professional Japanese language fluency with JLPT N2 certification or above, including strong business communication and client-handling expertise.
Hands-on proficiency in advanced statistical programming and database querying using SAS, Python, R, and SQL.
Proven ability to design and implement algorithms that aggregate and transform transactional healthcare datasets into structured data assets.
Strong capability in creating reusable macros, automation scripts, and analytical reporting frameworks.
Leadership & Client Impact
Act as a bilingual domain and technical SME bridging Japanese market clients with global analytical delivery teams.
