ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Develop, review, and maintain scientific materials including scientific narratives and platforms, MSL resources, infographics, standard responses, FAQs, and digital/non-digital assets for healthcare professionals across therapeutic areas.
Provide accurate, timely, scientifically balanced responses to medical inquiries from healthcare providers to support appropriate use of AstraZeneca products.
Collaborate with global and US partners and cross-functional teams to align scientific content with strategic priorities, regulatory standards, company policies, and industry guidelines.
Conduct literature searches, evaluate and appraise scientific evidence, and ensure appropriate sourcing and permissions for content.
Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, audience-appropriate communications supporting therapeutic-area objectives, product positioning, and educational initiatives.
Perform medical accuracy reviews and maintain high standards for scientific integrity, balance, and compliance.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance quality, turnaround time, and operational efficiency; support management systems and performance indicators.
Help adopt digital solutions, technology, AI, and emerging platforms to modernize scientific content development and delivery and scale impact across channels.
Support launch readiness, scientific congress activities, data updates, and medical planning while meeting required deadlines.
Lead or contribute to workstreams involving scientific content creation, medical information services, or digital innovation depending on experience and business needs.
Technical & Domain Standards
Work requires clinical and healthcare-systems knowledge, scientific literature evaluation, medical/scientific writing, evidence synthesis, data interpretation, and medical information delivery.
