Role Overview
The Strategic Imaging Account Manager (SAM) owns the long-term success of GE HealthCare's relationships with selected NHS Trusts and private clinic accounts across the North East of England. The role is focused on strategic account management, complex capital-equipment and solution sales, customer relationship development, business growth, revenue generation and commercial excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Act as the primary interface between GE HealthCare and assigned customer accounts and own the overall customer relationship.
Understand customer initiatives, priorities, competitor offerings, and micro- and macro-environmental changes to position GE solutions effectively.
Manage opportunities across assigned accounts, including new-business opportunities and installed-base management, upgrades and competitive switch opportunities.
Deliver short- and medium-term annual order and sales targets.
Manage CRM systems, maintaining accurate opportunities, account information and customer data to support forecasting and business-performance management.
Own territory administration across the complete sales lifecycle, from lead generation through revenue recognition, including tender management.
Manage the sales funnel over a long-term horizon.
Build strategic alliances with GE accounts to protect against competitive threats, add value across the product portfolio and grow target accounts.
Drive competitive installed-base conversion using effective switch strategies.
Maintain a strong focus on Commercial Excellence and continuously improve customer experience.
Work across GE's matrix organization to provide customers with a coordinated point of contact while maximizing business opportunities.
Collaborate with sales leaders and sales teams to increase prospects and drive opportunity closure.
Forecast orders and sales for the assigned territory and submit bi-weekly reports.
Represent GE HealthCare at trade-association meetings to promote products and company value.
Support the Regional Sales Manager in advancing UKI business performance, customer satisfaction, orders, revenue and growth.
Product & Market Scope
Lead business development and growth strategies for GE medical imaging solutions including CT, MR, Surgery, Interventional, X-ray and Women's Health imaging.
Develop knowledge of medical imaging products, competitors, NHS requirements and the UK healthcare environment.
Manage complex technical products, services and solutions in a healthcare capital-equipment sales environment.
Technical & Commercial Expertise
Demonstrated experience selling medical imaging technology and capital goods within a national healthcare environment.
Significant sales and account-management experience.
Strong understanding of sales and service operating procedures.
Strong product and competitor knowledge.
Strong analytical and process skills.
Experience with MS Office Suite, SFDC and CRM tools.
Ability to develop and execute account-level strategies using a 'OneGE' mindset.
Ability to manage tenders, sales funnels, forecasts and the complete sales process.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge, experience and know-how.
Significant Sales Account Management experience.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational, planning, presentation and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating capabilities.
Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to develop innovative proposals.
Ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure.
Flexibility to travel and work between UK locations according to customer requirements.
Valid motor vehicle license.
Preferred / Desired Experience
Residence in the North East of England.
Commercial experience selling large capital equipment.
Proven sales experience in an imaging diagnostics environment.
Understanding of the UK medical imaging market.
Healthcare-industry experience, including knowledge of NHS organization and operations.
