ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
Agentic AI Workflow Development: Partner with discovery chemists, computational scientists, and data teams to design, prototype, and refine agentic AI workflows and LLM-driven tools for molecular design, literature/patent intelligence, synthesis route planning, and scientific knowledge management.
Chemical Data Curation & Structuring: Curate, validate, and structure chemical structures, reaction informatics, assay results, and bioactivity datasets to power reliable AI modeling and automated hypothesis generation.
Scientific Output Evaluation & Validation: Evaluate AI-generated molecular proposals, retrosynthetic routes, and predictions for chemical plausibility, scientific validity, reproducibility, and synthetic feasibility.
Workflow Operationalization & Tool Adoption: Translate laboratory research needs into structured prompts, agent evaluation frameworks, and accessible computational interfaces while ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and research governance.
Continuous Feedback Integration: Collaborate with bench scientists to integrate wet-lab experimental findings and user feedback into iterative model and agent improvements.
Technical & Domain Standards
Strong foundational knowledge in medicinal chemistry, organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, and cheminformatics concepts.
Familiarity with chemical representations (SMILES, SDF), AI/ML modeling, generative AI, and agentic orchestration frameworks.
