Role Overview
Edwards Lifesciences is hiring a Senior Territory Manager for its Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business in Mumbai. The role supports Edwards' structural heart business and focuses on expanding adoption of transcatheter aortic heart valve replacement (TAVR) solutions that enable heart valve replacement without open-heart surgery. The position works closely with cardiologists, clinical teams, customers and other regional healthcare stakeholders to support improved patient care.
Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary THV business-unit point of contact for the assigned Mumbai territory and customer base.
Apply a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to Edwards medical products and the structural heart business.
Build, develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and other key influencers in the assigned region.
Strengthen Edwards Lifesciences' market positioning within the territory.
Use professional influencing, communication, tact and diplomacy skills to support customer buying decisions.
Identify, develop and close new business opportunities with existing customers.
Identify opportunities for improvement and growth within the assigned territory.
Work toward achieving defined sales targets and regional business objectives.
Develop and execute short-term territory and regional plans.
Manage the assigned customer base while balancing commercial priorities and patient-care objectives.
Perform additional incidental duties as required by the business.
Technical & Domain Expertise
Maintain a working understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to Edwards medical products.
Develop comprehensive knowledge of the strengths and limitations of Edwards products.
Maintain awareness of competitor products and their relative strengths and limitations.
Build a deeper understanding of the medical-device industry, the structural heart market and the regional selling environment.
Understand customer organizations and the ways in which the external market environment affects their priorities and purchasing decisions.
Use knowledge of structural heart disease and transcatheter heart valve technologies to support customer discussions and business development.
Experience with structural heart devices is preferred.
