ROLE DEFINITION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Overview

The Senior Field Clinical Engineer role is part of Boston Scientific's Senior Field Clinical Engineer Talent Pool. Clinical Research & Trial Execution

Own day-to-day execution of clinical trials within the assigned territory.
Ensure investigative sites are prepared, supported and appropriately engaged throughout the clinical-study lifecycle.
Serve as a primary point of contact for investigators and clinical-site staff.
Provide clinical, technical and procedural expertise to investigators and hospital teams.
Support clinical studies from early site engagement through patient enrollment and follow-up.
Contribute directly to study quality, patient safety and successful development of future cardiac therapies.
Lead clinical initiatives and projects that improve study execution and site performance.

Site Qualification, Initiation & Enrollment

Support site qualification activities.
Support site initiation activities and enrollment-readiness processes.
Provide support related to IRB activities.
Train investigators and site personnel on relevant clinical-study requirements.
Maintain strong site engagement throughout study execution.

Field Clinical & Technical Support

Provide hands-on technical support during electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
Support follow-up visits associated with clinical studies.
Work directly in cath-lab and clinical environments.
Apply clinical and technical expertise during EP procedures and related patient-care activities.
Act as a trusted clinical and technical partner for physicians and hospital teams.

Investigator & Hospital Relationships

Build trusted, long-term relationships with physicians, investigators and clinical teams.
Maintain sustained engagement with leading cardiac centers.
Work closely with clinicians and hospital personnel throughout clinical programs.
Provide responsive clinical and technical support to investigational sites.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with internal clinical stakeholders to ensure effective trial delivery.
Work with regulatory stakeholders to support aligned clinical-trial execution.
Coordinate with commercial stakeholders where necessary for effective program delivery.
Maintain close connection with an international clinical organization while independently managing field activities.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline.
Experience in the medical-device industry, clinical research, field clinical engineering, sales support or as a cardiac physiologist.
Hands-on experience with electrophysiology ablation procedures.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
Proactive and collaborative working style.
Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with physicians and clinical stakeholders.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel within Europe.

Preferred Expertise

Experience with EP mapped ablation procedures.
Familiarity with clinical-trial operations.
Site-management experience.
Clinical documentation experience.

Work Mode & Travel

Remote in country.
Desired candidate location: Prague, Czech Republic.
Regular travel within Czechia and across Europe.
Up to 50% travel requirement.
International travel may be required.
